Ben wrote a song and played it every night to an empty room. Every time he got close to the open mic sign-up sheet, another thought stuck to his wall. They'll laugh. You'll forget the words. Nobody's there for you. By 3 am the wall was full of red notes and none of them had happened yet. One night he pulled them down one at a time and checked each against what actually happened. Then he walked to the cafe with his guitar. Nobody hears the song you keep in your room. Play it. What have you practised a hundred times and never shown anyone?
